The Lady Lancers started off 2018 in the best way they know- with a win over the Centennial Colts.
Having fallen to the Colts in the first half, the Lancers were our for redemption and looked to improve on their 3-5 first half record.
After getting off to a slow start and trailing by 1 at the end of the first quarter, the Lancers came barreling back with a dominating 22-6 quarter to hold a 43-28 lead at half.

New to the line up for the Lancers, Brianna Arichara had an immediate impact on the team- adding some intense serious speed and ball handling skills to the team.

Scrappy veteran Kirsten Brant continued to be bring an aggressive presence to the court with toughness and a “never say never” attitude while also contributing 12 points.

First year Lancer Brittany Mason was the game’s leading scorer with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals. Mason’s unorthodox shot was no match for the Colts, who gave up 31 turnovers in the game.
With the teams now tied at 1 win each, the Lancers look to take the 3 game series when they travel to Toronto to face the Colts on January 26th.

Next up for the Lancers is the Algonquin Thunder on Saturday January 20th at 6pm.
