Lancers struggled to make shots consistently in the first half of their game against the Georgian Grizzlies in Barrie, shooting less than 30% from the field at the break.

Trailing 43-28 at half,  the Lancers refused to give up and battled hard in the 3rd quarter. They outscored the Grizzlies 22-14 thanks to strong defense and improved offense.

The Lancers got within 2 points late in the 4th but that was as close as they would get before eventually falling to the Grizzlies by 4.

Georgian edged out the Lancers with their ability to capitalize on trips to the free throw line. The Grizzlies hit 17 of 22 attempts while the Lancers only managed to make 7 of their 11 attempts

Raymond Yeung led the scoring for the Lancers with 23 points while Rijien Viloria was not far behind providing a spark for the team off the bench with 16 points.

The Lancers get back in action Saturday when they take on the George Brown Huskies.
