Fitzgerald & Cranley Named Athletes of the Week

Ryan Fitzgerald – Women's Rugby 7s

Second year Lancer Ryan Fitzgerald made an impressive impact in the Loyalist Lancers' 2024 women's rugby 7s tournament debut, emerging as the team's top point-getter over the weekend. Fitzgerald showcased her scoring ability by recording a try and successfully kicking four converts, totaling 13 points for the Lancers. Her performance was instrumental in the team's success and setting the tone for the rest of the season.

Fitzgerald's leadership and consistency on the field earned her the spotlight as one of the Lancers' most reliable players, and she's poised to continue making significant contributions as the season progresses.

Spencer Cranley – Golf

Spencer Cranley was the standout performer for the Loyalist Lancers golf team in their season-opening tournament at the notoriously challenging Black Bear Ridge Golf Course. Cranley shot an 81, placing him in a tie for 23rd out of 49 golfers. His solid round at one of Ontario's toughest courses helped set the pace for the Lancers' campaign, as they look to build on this early-season performance.

Cranley's ability to handle the difficult course conditions and post a competitive score underscores his importance to the Lancers' golf team and highlights his potential for strong showings throughout the season.
