Bio
Kevin McGuire brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Loyalist Lancers. With a career that spans nearly every level of basketball in the country, McGuire’s impressive resume includes multiple Bay of Quinte and COSSA titles, along with a long list of successes with the Belleville Spirits organization.
McGuire initially spent five years coaching the Lancers in the early 2000s, where he earned the prestigious title of OCAA East Division Coach of the Year. He went on to further his coaching career in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) by serving as Head Coach of the Royal Military College in Kingston for four years. From there, McGuire continued his coaching journey on the national stage where he worked with Team Canada’s Junior National Team and National Development Team. He has also held guest coaching roles for additional Team Canada training sessions, sharing his expertise and dedication to developing young talent.
McGuire rejoined the Lancers with head coaching duties in the 2021-2022 season, bringing his extensive experience and passion for the game back to Loyalist College.
