Lancers Add West Coast Talent with Commitment of Julia Paradis
The Loyalist Lancers women's volleyball program is pleased to announce the commitment of Julia Paradis, an outside hitter from Surrey, British Columbia, who will join the team this coming season.
Standing 5'7", Paradis brings a strong blend of competitiveness and experience from both high school and club volleyball. She competed for three seasons at Sullivan Heights Secondary School, earning multiple MVP honours and helping secure a South Fraser regional banner while playing up with the senior team in Grade 10. She has also competed at provincial championships with her high school program.
At the club level, Julia has spent the past three seasons with the BC Youth Volleyball Club, competing in the Northwest Power League. Her experience includes major tournaments in Anaheim, California, and an upcoming appearance at the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, providing her with exposure to elite competition and fast‑paced, high‑pressure matches. One of her favourite highlights has been playing alongside her sister in both high school and club environments.
Julia was drawn to Loyalist after watching the women's volleyball team play online and learning more about the academic opportunities available. She will be studying in the College Technology and Trade Preparation program and felt the combination of athletics and academics made Loyalist a strong fit.
Outside of volleyball, Julia enjoys staying active by playing basketball, hiking and playing with her dog.
The Lancers are excited to welcome Julia to the team and look forward to the energy, experience, and competitiveness she will bring to the program.
Welcome to the Lancers, Julia!
